The short version
NYMZO lets people create personal links and receive anonymous messages. We process the information needed to provide accounts, deliver messages, operate safety features, prevent abuse, and keep the service working.
A message being anonymous to its recipient does not mean that every piece of technical information associated with use of the service is necessarily anonymous or unavailable to the systems that operate NYMZO.
01
Information We Collect
The information NYMZO processes depends on how you use the service.
Account information
When you create an account, we process information you provide such as your email address, username, and information required to authenticate and maintain your account.
Messages
When someone sends a message through a NYMZO link, the message content is processed so that it can be delivered to the intended recipient.
Reports and moderation information
If you report a message, we may process the reported message, the reason selected, additional details you provide, and information associated with the report so that it can be reviewed and handled.
Technical information
Like most online services, NYMZO and the service providers supporting it may process technical information necessary to operate, secure, diagnose, and protect the service. Depending on the technology involved, this may include device, browser, network, log, cookie, or similar technical information.
02
How We Use Information
We use information where reasonably necessary to operate and improve NYMZO. This can include providing accounts, delivering messages, authenticating users, maintaining the service, troubleshooting technical problems, and responding to support requests.
Information may also be used to protect NYMZO and its users, investigate reports, detect or reduce spam and abuse, enforce our rules, protect the security of our systems, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
03
Anonymous Messages
NYMZO is designed so that people can send messages without displaying their identity to the recipient through the normal messaging experience.
However, “anonymous” describes what is shown to the recipient. It should not be interpreted as a promise that absolutely no technical information can ever be processed in connection with use of the service.
Information may be processed where necessary for legitimate operational purposes such as security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, compliance with law, and protecting users or the service.
04
Reports & Safety
NYMZO provides tools that allow recipients to report and delete messages. A report is a request for review and does not by itself establish that another person violated our rules.
When a report is submitted, we may preserve information about the report and the reported content for moderation, safety, abuse prevention, record keeping, dispute handling, or legal purposes, even if the original message is later deleted where permitted by law.
07
Data Retention
We may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing NYMZO, maintaining account functionality, protecting security, addressing abuse and reports, resolving disputes, and complying with legal obligations.
Different categories of information may be retained for different periods. Deleting an item from the normal user interface does not necessarily require the immediate deletion of every related record where retention is reasonably necessary or legally permitted.
08
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may give you rights relating to your personal information. These may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other controls over certain personal information.
Some information may need to be retained where permitted or required by law, including for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement, or legal compliance.
Privacy requests can be sent to support@nymzo.chat.
09
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect NYMZO and the information processed through the service.
No website, application, database, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should also protect their account credentials and avoid sharing passwords or authentication codes with other people.
10
Children & Age Requirements
NYMZO is not intended for people who are not legally permitted to use the service under applicable law. Age requirements may differ depending on a user's location and the laws that apply there.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected in circumstances where applicable law requires its removal, we may take appropriate steps to address it.
11
International Users
NYMZO is accessible through the internet and may be used from different countries. The providers and infrastructure used to operate the service may process or store information in countries other than the country where a user is located.
Where required, we will handle international processing or transfers in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
12
Legal Requests
We may preserve, access, or disclose information when required by applicable law or in response to valid legal process.
We may also take appropriate action where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of NYMZO, our users, or other people, subject to applicable law.
13
Changes to This Policy
NYMZO will continue to develop, and this Privacy Policy may change as our features, technology, business, or legal obligations change.
When this policy is updated, the revised version will be published on this page and the “Last updated” date will be changed. Where required, additional notice may be provided.
